[wanabidii] MoU with Iran should be made public

Obsolutely Kombo,

You are right. Under the National Reform Accord for Public Mandate, It is
fair that Transparency and Accountability for Memorundum of Understanding
between Kenya, China and Iran oil deal should be made available to public
demand urgently. It is also important that public get the proof of that Trading
committment to ascertain fairness of trading practices as per Public Mandate
interest gains. It is sad though that leadership by the two Principals acted in
haste to engage the Iranian oil into this Trading MoU before consulting Kenya's
experts and Professionals.

This demonstrated factors of carelessness and irresponsibility in leadership
that must be taken to task without dwiddling.

I have read on the local dairies that both Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Energy PS Nyoike saying that the MoU between Kenya and Iran was not honoured by the latter hence cancellation. I find this to be a damn stupid excuse. First, if it were not for the Israelites to reveal that Iranians were planning to attack strategic points including the Israel Embassy, Nairobi could have been mute over this security scandal. If it were not for the US reminding the Government of Mwia Kibaki and Raila that they risk sanctions, State House could have gone ahead with the purchase of oil from Iran.

Here are my worries

1. Sanctions against Iran by the US and EU Countries is in the public domain. Iran is a threat to world security through her nuke program which we all must say NO to.

2. The government of Kenya has acted in ignorance. The three Principals - Raila Odinga, Mwai Kibaki and Kalonzo Musyoka have acted against the tenets on which our constitution was founded.

3. Why did the government hide the contents of the MoU with Iran? Can the government now make the contents of the MoU public so that we will tell who is fooling who in this fiasco?

We know that some government officials have benefited from previous various oil deals. This might be one of them and therefore, we should be told the truth. Let the Prime Minister and PS Nyoike tell Kenyans what exactly is happening with this Iranian goodies.

Please publish the MoU with Iran on the local dairies so that Kenyans will know that they are safe....and not ransomed to Iranians.

Kombo Elijah
