[wanabidii] Looking for people starting businesses or trading accross borders

Dear all

We are implementing an initiative that among others, is tracking reforms
in the public sector and their impacts on businesses and the economy.

Of particular interest are reforms reported to have been undertaken to
reduce the hassle and cost of doing business through improvements in
regulations, procedures, facilities, etc. We want to find out whether
these improvements are fully reflected in practice (and not just in
reports or papers).

We are therefore interested in those of you who are either:
(i) In the process of starting or winding up a businesses or
(ii) Importing or exporting goods

There are specific reforms that have been reported by the government in
the process of licensing and registration of business names and companies
as well as in the import/export procedures that we want to check out with
real people going through the process.

We shall be glad to get about 5 persons/companies in each category.
Grateful e-mail me directly if you are either starting a business or
importing/exporting and would be prepared to share your experience. We are
interested in recent experience (April 2012 onwards). Preferably someone
who is not using any short cuts (because you may not be aware of the
reality on the ground)
